Police were called to Iman Shumpert's Atlanta residence early last week following a report of a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, officers observed Shumpert preparing to leave with a suitcase, stating he repeatedly asked a woman, identified as Joanna Donnejour, to vacate the property.
Donnejour claimed an argument escalated when Shumpert allegedly dragged her by the wrist and foot. She also alleged Shumpert "hit her." However, another woman present stated that while a verbal clash occurred, Shumpert only grabbed Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out, and "this was not done in an aggressive manner."
Officers noted no visible injuries on Donnejour. After reviewing witness statements and finding no supporting evidence, no charges were filed. Shumpert later stated that the situation was quickly resolved by police after they investigated the incident.
