In a significant crackdown on illicit substances, the Vadodara Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has arrested a shop owner and seized a substantial quantity of illegal hormone drugs and steroids. The raid targeted a 'nutrition' store in the Manjalpur area, uncovering a decade-long operation selling unauthorized bodybuilding aids.
The accused, identified as 35-year-old Amish Kori, was found in possession of numerous imported steroid tablets and injection vials, including testosterone and other substances vital for muscle enhancement. Police cataloged 30 different types of seized items, with a total value estimated at Rs 2.83 lakh.
Authorities stated that Kori had been supplying these drugs without requiring prescriptions or valid invoices, preying on individuals eager for quick physical changes. The imported medications, sourced from Russia and Austria via a dealer in Amritsar, were discreetly sold alongside legitimate protein supplements.
