When the villagers arrived for their regular Sunday morning worship on October 26th, they were dismayed to find the idols broken.

Former village head Vinod Shukla stated that some local miscreants may have been responsible for the vandalism, and the matter was promptly reported to the police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Amarnath Yadav of the Bilhaur division confirmed that an investigation is underway, and a youth has been arrested in connection with the incident.
