- Domestic worker allegedly facilitated entry for burglars.
- Stolen gold and silver jewelry recovered; mastermind absconding.

Hyderabad Police have successfully dismantled an organized burglary syndicate with arrests in a high-profile Rs 1.3 crore theft. Five individuals, all identified as Nepali nationals, have been taken into custody following a meticulously planned robbery in the Jubilee Hills area on February 5, 2026.
The investigation revealed a sophisticated modus operandi where the gang allegedly infiltrated affluent homes by employing an insider. In this specific case, a domestic worker employed at the targeted residence reportedly facilitated the entry of two gang members after incapacitating the cook and watchmen.
This allowed the burglars to steal gold and silver jewelry valued at approximately Rs 1.3 crore while the homeowners were absent. Investigators believe the gang intended to replicate this strategy in other high-end neighborhoods, using inside information to exploit security vulnerabilities.
Recovered items include the stolen jewelry, mobile phones, and motorcycles. Authorities are continuing their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects, including the alleged mastermind, Jiban Bahadur Chand alias Jeevan, who remains at large. Some arrested individuals provided financial and logistical support to the operation.
