Domestic Worker Linked to IPS Officer's Wife Murder

A shocking robbery-cum-murder incident has occurred in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills, where Tanuja Ranjan, wife of retired IPS officer Vinay Ranjan Ray, was found dead. Police suspect her domestic worker, employed for over a year, played a role in the crime. The victim was found with her hands tied and mouth gagged, suggesting a premeditated attack, possibly during the late night when she was alone on the ground floor.

Authorities believe the domestic worker may have coordinated with a Nepali gang, facilitating their entry into the upscale residence. Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has reiterated the importance of verifying domestic staff, noting previous advisories had been issued. Similar criminal activities by organized gangs have been reported in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune, indicating a wider pattern of crime.

The incident has alarmed residents in affluent areas, raising questions about residential security and background checks for household employees. Police are actively investigating to apprehend the accused and uncover the full conspiracy, assuring strict action against those involved.
