Hyderabad Mother Kills Sons, Then Herself

A devastating incident unfolded in Hyderabad on Tuesday, where a 29-year-old woman allegedly ended the lives of her two sons before taking her own. The victims were identified as 12-year-old Karthik and 10-year-old Koushik. The woman, S Banoth Sravanthi, had reportedly been experiencing frequent disputes with her husband, Boda Praveen, over the past 13 years, exacerbated by allegations of his second marriage.

Following recent quarrels, Sravanthi had moved with her children to her parents' home. Despite efforts by elders to reconcile them, she returned to Hyderabad with her husband on Monday night. Tragedy struck on Tuesday afternoon when Praveen discovered the main door locked from the inside upon returning from work. With the help of neighbors, he forced entry, only to find Sravanthi and their children deceased.

Investigators are examining the scene, and preliminary findings suggest the mother died by suicide. The exact cause of the children's deaths is pending the post-mortem report, though initial observations indicate they may have died alongside their mother. Police have stated that a case of abetment to suicide may be registered against Praveen.
