In a swift display of law enforcement, Hyderabad police arrested a 25-year-old man within 24 hours of a complaint detailing the theft of gold biscuits from a prominent jewelry showroom. The suspect, identified as Karampudi Gopalakrishna, is accused of stealing 10 gold biscuits valued at approximately Rs 1.65 crore.
The incident took place at the Panjagutta branch of Joyalukkas. A case of servant theft was registered under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint lodged on February 15.
Special teams were instrumental in the rapid investigation. By analyzing CCTV footage, conducting technical analysis, and utilizing intelligence inputs, officers successfully traced and apprehended the suspect. Authorities also seized a smartphone and a motorbike allegedly used in the commission of the offense. Senior officials commended the team's efficiency in detecting the case and recovering the stolen property.
