- Security guard stopped car from entering residents' lane without authorization

According to a police report filed on October 15, a city-based businessman and four of his associates have been arrested for assaulting security personnel at the upscale Lanco Hills township in Hyderabad. The incident began around 10 am on the same day when a car attempted to enter the society through the residents' lane without prior authorization.
Security guard Deva stopped the vehicle and asked the driver to use the visitors' lane, prompting tenant Murali Mohan to arrive at the gate and allegedly attempt to slap the guard. Security supervisor M Balakrishna intervened, and after a scuffle, both men reportedly slapped each other before being separated.
Later that evening, around 7:45 pm, Murali returned with 15-20 people armed with sticks and assaulted Chandraiah and Balakrishna, causing injuries to their faces and other body parts. Acting on the complaint, Raidurgam police have registered a case and arrested the businessman and his associates.
Investigators also noticed that one of the cars used by the accused bore a police sticker, though none of the men were from the police department. The counter-complaint filed by Murali against the security personnel has been referred for legal opinion, as the offence is non-cognizable.
