Mother Daughter Among Three Hurt in Roadside Shooting

On Houston's northeast side, a man in his 30s allegedly shot at three moving vehicles with an automatic weapon. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in the 6300 block of North Wayside Drive. Police officers arrived at the scene and issued commands for the suspect to surrender his weapon.
When the suspect failed to comply, three Houston police officers and a DPS Trooper discharged their firearms, striking the suspect. He was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Three individuals who were in the targeted vehicles sustained injuries and have since received medical attention, with their conditions now stabilized.
Among those injured were a mother and her young daughter. They sought assistance at a nearby fire station. Eyewitness footage reportedly shows a man with a weapon at the scene.
