Overnight Monday, a homeowner in southwest Houston shot an intruder who forced entry into their residence. The incident occurred after the intruder, described as bloodied and accompanied by a masked suspect, was seen running down Ingomar Way near Campden Hill just after midnight.
The bloodied man reportedly banged on several doors seeking help before kicking in the door of a home in the 4800 block. The homeowner then shot the intruder multiple times. The injured man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The masked accomplice fled the scene in an unknown direction and remains at large. Houston police are actively investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in identifying the suspects.
