In Kamareddy, police arrested a housemaid and her husband for the murder and robbery of a 66-year-old woman. The crime occurred on September 29, 2026, between 6 pm and 7:30 pm when the victim was alone. The couple allegedly strangled the woman to death with a towel to steal approximately eight tolas of gold jewellery, including a mangalsutra, two rings, and earrings.
The couple, identified as Bose Rajitha and Bose Narsing, reportedly planned the murder to facilitate the theft, fearing the victim would recognize them. Rajitha, who had been employed as a housemaid at the victim's residence, allegedly continued her duties after the murder to avoid suspicion. Police recovered the stolen jewellery and Rajitha's mobile phone. Investigators also noted Rajitha's alleged involvement in a prior theft case in September 2026.
