The attack occurred when she was left alone to care for Bourne. He attacked her with a kitchen knife, inflicting numerous stab wounds across her body.
Josy managed to escape to a locked bathroom and call the police. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors described her survival as a miracle. Bourne had called the police himself, describing Josy as a 'demon woman.'
