A court in Hosur has delivered life sentences to five individuals convicted of murdering a civil engineer in 2022. The victim, identified as 23-year-old D Mohanbabu, was fatally attacked following an altercation over a vehicle collision.
The incident occurred on January 1, 2022, when the five convicts, along with another associate, allegedly stabbed Mohanbabu to death. All six were arrested by the Mathigiri police and remanded to judicial custody. The case proceeded in the Hosur criminal court.
Tragically, one of the accused, Tilak, who had been granted bail, was murdered in May 2023 while at a tea shop. The remaining five were found guilty and received life sentences on Monday.
