A violent dispute over remarks concerning a man's wife has resulted in his death. Dhiraj Singh Rajput, a 26-year-old with a history of offenses, was tragically beaten to death. The incident stemmed from rumors spread by Sunny Chauhan about Rajput's wife.
Four days prior to the fatal encounter, Rajput had confronted Chauhan about the rumors. The altercation escalated on Wednesday night when they quarreled again, leading to Rajput allegedly slapping Chauhan multiple times. This confrontation appears to have been the catalyst for the fatal assault.
Early Thursday morning, Chauhan returned with Atul Singh Bihari and took Rajput from his residence under the pretense of discussion. Rajput's roommate, Sonu Verma, accompanied them. Later that morning, Chauhan and Bihari returned Rajput to his room, severely injured from an alleged beating.
Rajput's roommates were instructed to seek medical attention for him. However, when they attempted to wake him later, he was unresponsive and subsequently declared dead by medical personnel. Police have registered a murder case against Chauhan, Bihari, and Verma, noting that Chauhan and Verma also have prior offenses.
