Roadways Conductor and Flying Squad Clash in Heated Dispute

Last month, on September 14th, tension erupted between a roadways conductor and the flying squad of the Haryana Roadways Department during a routine ticket inspection in Fatehabad. The incident occurred near the mini bypass, leading to a heated argument that drew the attention of police personnel from Dial 112.

According to sources, the Fatehabad depot bus was traveling from Bhattu to Fatehabad when the flying squad, which included inspector Ashok Kumar, inspector Krishna Kumar, sub-inspectors Dharampal and Jasbir Singh, and senior conductor Nanak Chand, intercepted it for a check. The dispute arose because a family traveling on the bus was carrying a dog without a ticket, which violates roadways rules requiring two tickets for an animal.

The conductor, Kamaldeep, alleged that the flying squad falsely reported irregularities even though tickets were issued to all passengers. He claimed that squad members tore up his papers and left the spot abruptly when passengers questioned their actions. In response, sub-inspector Jasbir Singh denied the allegations, calling them baseless.

Police officials said that after receiving the call, a Dial 112 team reached the spot to defuse the situation. Officers advised the conductor to submit a written complaint to his department or visit the police station if he wanted formal action. Sources revealed that conductor Kamaldeep was suspended 22 days earlier after a video of him refusing to issue a ticket to a passenger went viral. He was reinstated only four days before the latest confrontation took place.
