On November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. committed a shocking crime that would haunt the small town of Amityville, New York, for decades to come. The 23-year-old confessed to murdering his parents and four siblings, claiming that "voices from the house" had compelled him to do it.

The gruesome killings not only rocked the community but also inspired the long-running Amityville Horror franchise. After the DeFeo family's home was sold, the new owners, the Lutz family, reported experiencing paranormal activity, including green slime oozing from the walls and a demonic presence that ripped a door off its hinges.
