Summary
- Harshita Brella was found deceased in a car boot in London.
- Her husband, Pankaj Lamba, is wanted for murder and believed to be in India.
- Her family is traveling to the UK to seek progress in the case.

The family of Harshita Brella, an Indian national found deceased in a car boot in East London last year, is traveling to the UK to pursue justice.
Brella, 24, was discovered in November 2025, more than 100 miles from her home in Corby, Northamptonshire. Investigators believe she died by strangulation days earlier.
Her husband, Pankaj Lamba, faces a murder charge and is sought by authorities, believed to have absconded to India shortly after her death. An international search is ongoing.
Originally from Delhi, Brella moved to the UK following an arranged marriage in March 2025. Her parents and sister will visit Britain with support from advocacy groups, hoping to meet officials and voice concerns.
Concerns have been raised about the handling of domestic abuse complaints, especially for women isolated after moving to the UK. Northamptonshire Police faced misconduct proceedings over their handling of Brella's earlier abuse allegations.
Brella had reported abuse in August 2025, leading to Lamba's arrest and a domestic violence protection order. Weeks later, her body was found.
