A shocking incident unfolded late on Wednesday evening in Hamirpur, where a 22-year-old youth, identified as Sumit from Sumerpur town, was beaten to death. He sustained severe injuries, particularly to his head and body, with preliminary observations suggesting the use of a hard object.
The victim's father, Raj Bahadur Yadav, has pointed fingers at a neighboring father-son duo, claiming they harbored an old grudge and had previously assaulted Sumit. Yadav stated he last spoke to his son around 8 PM, and shortly after, received news of his untimely death.
Authorities recovered a blood-stained truck tire lever near the crime scene, and two suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation. Police are awaiting the postmortem report to determine the exact cause of death and are investigating all aspects of the incident.
