19 Apr
Summary
- Principal arrested for fake CBSE accreditation fraud.
- Parents alerted police after students missed board exams.
- School falsely claimed accreditation, jeopardizing futures.

In Gurugram, the principal of Educrust International School has been apprehended for allegedly perpetrating a significant fraud involving fake CBSE accreditation. This follows the earlier arrest of the school's chairman in March 2026 for similar alleged offenses. The recent action was prompted by an FIR lodged by parents whose Class 10 daughter was denied her board exam admit card.
The investigation revealed that the school management had falsely presented CBSE accreditation up to Class 10 to students and parents. This deception came to light when 11 students did not receive their admit cards for the mathematics board examination in February 2026, triggering a police investigation and numerous complaints.
Authorities confirmed that the school was only accredited by the CBSE up to the eighth grade. The principal, who had fled to Gujarat after the FIR, was arrested upon her return. Charges of fraud and forgery are being considered, with further investigation underway to identify any additional victims or accomplices.
