26 Sep
Summary
- A 22-year-old woman was found hanging in her Gurugram PG room.
- Her live-in partner is accused of murder by the victim's mother.
- Police are investigating the circumstances and awaiting post-mortem results.

In Gurugram's Islampur village, a 22-year-old woman named Tanisha was found deceased, hanging from a ceiling fan in her paying guest accommodation. Her mother has lodged a formal complaint, accusing her live-in partner, Chetan Sharma, of murder and claiming Tanisha's death was made to look like a suicide.
Tanisha, originally from Etah district in Uttar Pradesh, had been in a live-in relationship with Sharma, also from Etah. Sharma had left for work on Friday afternoon, and Tanisha's unanswered calls prompted a neighbour to check on her, leading to the grim discovery. The door was reportedly locked from the inside.
While the initial appearance suggested suicide, police are thoroughly investigating the murder allegations raised by Tanisha's family. The family's assertion that they were unaware of the live-in arrangement is also a point of examination. Tanisha's sister confirmed speaking with her normally the night before.
The body has undergone a post-mortem examination by a medical board. Police stated that further actions will be determined by the family's complaint and the official post-mortem report, assuring a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
