Tragedy in Gurgaon: Teen girl dies by suicide amid distress

A 14-year-old girl tragically died by suicide at her residence in Mahavir Pura, Gurgaon, on Sunday. The Class 9 student, who was originally from the Nawada district of Bihar, was studying in Gurgaon. Her family reported that she began showing signs of mental distress after undergoing an appendix surgery approximately four months ago.

Despite efforts to provide counseling and further treatment in her native village due to financial constraints, her mental health did not improve. Upon returning to Gurgaon, her distress persisted, leading to the fatal act. Police have stated that there were no immediate signs of foul play, with the circumstances pointing towards suicide.

The incident was discovered when her mother found her unresponsive in a room after she had gone in using a dupatta. Rushed to the civil hospital, she was declared dead. Police have initiated inquest proceedings, and a forensic team inspected the scene. Statements from family members have been recorded, and the investigation is ongoing.
