In Gurgaon, a case was registered Tuesday against a driver nearly a month after a two-year-old boy sustained injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Sector 69. The child's father, busy with his son's treatment, lodged the complaint on September 29, approximately three weeks after the accident on September 3.
The incident occurred around 6:30 PM when the child, Ayansh, was playing near his house. A Maruti WagonR cab allegedly struck the boy, causing him to fall between the car's front wheels and sustain injuries requiring facial surgery. The father managed to apprehend the driver at the scene but could not pursue further action due to the immediate need for medical attention.
Police received information about the child's hospitalization on September 5. Following verification of medical reports and the father's statement, a case was filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. An investigation is now underway.
