A comprehensive forensic report has revealed the presence of gunshot residue (GSR) on the wounds and skin of a 25-year-old entrepreneur, Mir Raza Ali, who was found deceased in bushes on July 29. This finding emerged from samples analyzed following the exhumation of his body for a second post-mortem examination. The initial disappearance of Raza was reported on July 28, leading to a registered case. The second autopsy detailed multiple injuries and the discovery of a congealed black substance within his mouth and throat.
Forensic tests conducted at Karachi University's ICCBS detected GSR on swabs from Raza's chest and back wounds, as well as on the skin of both his hands. Importantly, no sedative, psychotropic, narcotic, or poisonous substances were identified on various skin samples, facial swabs, or soil collected from around his grave. Another report analyzed Raza's shirt, noting perforations consistent with gunshot entry and exit wounds, measuring approximately 6.99mm and 35.37mm respectively. Traces of the local anesthetic bupivacaine were found in his blood, alongside acid traces on his shirt, although no toxic substances were detected in his stomach or vital organs.
