In Vadodara, the Detection of Crime Branch has taken a significant step by booking eight members of a criminal gang under the stringent Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GujCTOC) Act. These individuals are accused of orchestrating criminal activities that have instilled fear in the community for approximately ten years.
The booked members, including Ajaysinh Sikligar and Prakash Rajput among others, are alleged to be involved in a wide array of offenses. These include robbery, chain-snatching, burglary, vehicle theft, and assault, reportedly spanning across multiple cities within the state.
Further investigation reveals a substantial criminal history, with over 152 cases registered against the gang members over the years. Their activities have previously led to detentions under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (Pasa), highlighting their persistent involvement in organized crime.
