A man in Gujarat's Narmada district has been arrested for allegedly murdering his younger brother, driven by suspicions of black magic. The incident occurred in Bhuchhad village when the accused, Ramesh Vasava, believed his brother, Gurji Vasava, was practicing sorcery against him.
Ramesh reportedly ambushed Gurji with a sharp weapon as he returned from a shop, inflicting fatal injuries. Gurji's daughters, Savitri and Shilpa, were also wounded while attempting to save their father. They are currently receiving medical treatment.
Investigators revealed Ramesh has a history of violence, having killed another brother in 2005. He served a short jail term following a settlement in that case. The current brutality has intensified legal proceedings.
