Killer's Prison Request Stuns Brothers' Mother
18 Apr
Summary
- Convicted killer asked to see mother of sons she killed.
- Mother stated she would trade places with killer to have sons back.
- Grossman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

Rebecca Grossman, who was found guilty in the 2020 deaths of brothers Mark, 11, and Jacob, 8, in Westlake Village, has made a surprising request. Grossman asked the boys' mother, Nancy Iskander, to visit her in prison to "see the circumstances she is in," claiming to be a victim herself. This request has deeply unsettled Iskander.
Grossman was sentenced in June 2024 to 15 years to life in prison. A Los Angeles jury previously convicted her in February 2024 on multiple felony counts, including second-degree murder and vehicular manslaughter, along with hit-and-run resulting in death.
In a statement posted on X, Iskander expressed her anguish, stating she would willingly endure any prison conditions to have her sons back. She also noted that Grossman had previously sent her a letter after the conviction, prompting a request for a no-contact order, and that this latest request came through an attorney.
During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Grossman and her then-boyfriend had been drinking before the fatal incident. Grossman was driving her white Mercedes-Benz SUV when she struck the two boys as they crossed Triunfo Canyon Road with their family in a marked crosswalk. A state appeals court panel affirmed Grossman's conviction in March.
