A wedding procession in Jaunpur was marred by violence when the groom, Azad Bind, was shot and killed on Friday evening. The 27-year-old was traveling near Bibipur village when he was targeted by a relative of the bride. The accused, identified as Pradeep Bind, was reportedly displeased with the union.
Assisted by an associate named Ravi Yadav, Pradeep Bind allegedly intercepted the procession on a motorcycle and opened fire. Although Azad Bind was quickly transported to a hospital, he tragically passed away from his injuries. His father had previously reported altercations with the accused.
Authorities were alerted to the gunfire and dispatched police to the scene. A case has been formally registered based on the victim's family's complaint. Law enforcement has established dedicated teams to pursue the swift arrest of the two individuals involved in the fatal shooting.
