A Grimsby man, Robert Kelk, has received a six-year prison sentence for his involvement in supplying heroin and cocaine. The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. His arrest followed a police raid in September where a substantial quantity of illicit substances, valued at £100,000, was found hidden under floorboards at a Grimsby property.
During subsequent investigations, officers also confiscated counterfeit cash and drug paraphernalia. A later raid on Kelk's home uncovered a cache of weapons, including a machete and a baton, in addition to further suspected drugs and cash. Humberside Police highlighted Kelk's role as a crucial supplier within a criminal network.
Detective Inspector Tom Kelly emphasized that drug crime and its associated harm are not tolerated. He stated Kelk was instrumental in distributing harmful substances across North East Lincolnshire, impacting vulnerable individuals. The successful dismantling of this network by officers prevented a significant amount of drugs from reaching the community.
