An 81-year-old Arizona grandmother, Sue Jacquot, experienced a terrifying 'swatting' incident while participating in a Minecraft fundraiser. The event aimed to raise funds for her grandson Jack's cancer treatment medical bills. During a live stream, over a dozen Queen Creek police officers in tactical gear stormed Jacquot's home based on a false report that she had been shot and killed.
Jacquot, who gained a significant online following on YouTube as "GrammaCrackers," was playing Minecraft with her grandsons, Jack and Austin, to help cover Jack's rare sarcoma cancer treatment costs. The false report alleged that Jack had shot his grandmother and was planning to harm himself. The incident is currently under police investigation.
Despite the distress caused by the swatting call, Jacquot has stated her intention to continue gaming and fundraising. She expressed resilience, declaring that the perpetrators will not deter her from her efforts to support her grandson's medical expenses.
