Fred Sines Jnr, who was recently given a suspended sentence for his role in selling a stolen £4.8 million gold toilet, has been linked to a £1.1 million luxury watch robbery. The heist targeted the 247 Kettles store in Richmond, where over 70 high-value watches were stolen. Allegations surfaced during the trial that the store was a front for organised crime, potentially operated by Sines Jnr and his father, Maurice 'Fred' Sines.
The robbery had devastating consequences, leading to the suicide of shop manager Oliver White, who was accused of not putting up enough of a fight. White was restrained during the raid. The business owners, Conor Thornton and Joe Riley, reportedly met with Sines Jnr the day after the robbery, a meeting that has raised further questions.
Further complicating the case, evidence suggested Sines Snr may have placed bounties on the robbers, and police issued threat-to-life warnings to some suspects. The defence argued that 247 Kettles was a money-laundering operation, with Sines Snr and Jnr behind it, a claim denied by the business owners.
