Goa Drug Bust Uncovers Ahmedabad Prostitution Ring
12 Mar
Summary
- Goa police found prostitution links after drug seizure.
- Social media allegedly used to operate vice ring in Ahmedabad.
- Mobile phone analysis revealed chats, photos, and booking details.

A drug seizure in Goa has uncovered potential links to a prostitution racket allegedly run via social media in Ahmedabad. This connection emerged following the forensic analysis of a mobile phone confiscated from one of the accused. The device reportedly contained incriminating chats, photographs, and booking details that suggested a trafficking network with ties to Ahmedabad.
The development surfaced during an investigation by North Goa police, who previously seized 4.325kg of cocaine in Panaji, leading to four arrests under the NDPS Act. Investigators seized Chirag Dudhat's mobile phone, and its forensic examination revealed alleged involvement in a prostitution network with an Ahmedabad-based associate.
Goa police shared this information with the Ahmedabad crime branch, which has now registered a case. Preliminary findings suggest the accused utilized social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook to contact clients and arrange women for prostitution. Evidence reportedly includes discussions about hotel bookings, photographs of women, and rate lists for sexual services.
Officials stated that the accused allegedly sourced women from across the country and coordinated meetings with clients at hotels. Chirag Dudhat is currently in jail in Goa for the cocaine seizure case, while Ahmedabad's anti-human trafficking unit is examining digital evidence and financial transactions related to the suspects. The probe aims to identify other intermediaries, clients, and potential victims.
