Young Woman Found Murdered in Ghaziabad Field

Ghaziabad police are investigating the brutal murder of an unidentified young woman found in a jowar field on Thursday morning. The victim, estimated to be around 25 years old, was discovered by farmers along the Kajipura-Bayana road. Evidence at the scene, including drag marks and significant blood pooling where the body was found, suggests the woman was attacked after being rendered unconscious and dragged into the field.

Authorities suspect a sharp-edged weapon was used to slit her throat. Initial observations indicate she may have been attacked while alive but unconscious, possibly after being overpowered or drugged. Police are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm potential sexual assault and gather more forensic evidence. Efforts are underway to identify the victim, with her photograph circulated across neighboring districts. Three police teams have been assigned to the case.

The discovery was made around 9:15 AM when farmers noticed an anomaly in the standing crop. Police are examining the possibility of a vehicle being involved in transporting the victim to the secluded spot. No First Information Report (FIR) has been registered yet, pending the victim's identification and a formal complaint from her family.
