In Ghaziabad, authorities have apprehended the owner and a cook from a local food establishment due to a widely circulated video. The clip purportedly shows a cook contaminating dough intended for chapatis by spitting on it.
This incident, which reportedly took place on January 19, prompted immediate police intervention after a formal complaint was lodged by the priest of the Govindpuram Shiv Mandir. The eatery is situated approximately 50 meters from the temple.
Investigators found the eatery's owner, identified as Amzad, unable to offer a credible defense for the cook's actions. Consequently, both Amzad and the cook, Faizan, were arrested on Tuesday and subsequently incarcerated.
