In Ghaziabad, a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed by his friends during a birthday celebration in the Shanti Nagar area. This tragic event is suspected to be the third attempt on the victim's life.
Mohit Sharma, an autorickshaw driver, had a prior dispute with one of the accused, Gaurav, two weeks before the incident. Despite a compromise, tensions apparently resurfaced when the accused allegedly took Mohit to Rajasthan's Khatushyam town and later to Haridwar. Mohit had made calls to his cousin during these trips, expressing fear for his safety.
The fatal attack occurred when Mohit was invited to a birthday party at Dev's house. After being allegedly forced to consume a large quantity of alcohol and falling unconscious, he was stabbed multiple times. Mohit managed to escape and seek medical help, but was declared dead at the hospital.
Following the murder, relatives of the deceased blocked the Vijaynagar bypass, demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators. The blockade was lifted after police officials assured action. The angry crowd later vandalized the room where the incident took place, leading to the sealing of the house by the police.
