Georgia AG Indicts Trio in Teen Trafficking Cases

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has announced indictments against three individuals implicated in human trafficking schemes targeting missing teenagers. The Attorney General's Office revealed these charges stem from two distinct cases. In one instance, two individuals are accused of attempting to sell a minor, while a third person faces charges related to the attempted purchase of an underage female.

Both cases involved underage females who had previously been reported missing before being safely recovered by law enforcement. Attorney General Carr emphasized the expansion of the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit to the Augusta region, underscoring the state's dedication to safeguarding its residents. He issued a firm message that human trafficking will not be tolerated within Georgia.

The indictments send a clear message to both buyers and sellers that they will face the full extent of the law. Carr expressed gratitude to law enforcement partners for their crucial role in recovering the missing children and reaffirmed the commitment to ensuring justice is served for the victims.
