Summary

- He replaced stolen medication with allergy and thyroid medication.
- The accused faces up to 10 years in prison and fines.

Andrew Milgrim of Gardner has agreed to plead guilty to charges of tampering with prescription medications intended for patients in hospice and memory care units at a Fitchburg facility. Court filings indicate that Milgrim allegedly stole prescribed 5-milligram Oxycodone pills from vulnerable patients between September 2024 and February 2025.
According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Milgrim would replace the stolen Oxycodone with Loratadine, an allergy medication with a similar appearance. Further allegations suggest that around January 2025, he also took 10 mg Oxycodone from an elderly patient, substituting it with Levothyroxine, a thyroid medication.
The federal prosecutor's office stated that Milgrim consumed the medications he stole. He now faces potential penalties including up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000 for tampering with a consumer product.
