Gangster Firefight Erupts in Haryana Store
28 Feb
Summary
- Three armed men linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang fired at a store.
- Weapon malfunctioned during the attempted shooting of the manager.
- Attack linked to rivalry with Rohit Godara gang over extortion.

On Friday, three armed men associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang initiated a shooting at a Sonipat, Haryana supplements store. This daylight assault, documented by CCTV, began when a shooter's weapon jammed as they attempted to fire at the store's manager. The attackers then fled the scene, with one individual seen firing shots that damaged the store's facade.
Investigators are linking the shooting to a feud between the Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs. The owner of Pahal Nutrition had reportedly received an extortion demand of Rs 2 crore from Godara's gang two months prior. Following the incident, a social media post attributed to Randeep Malik, claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, asserted responsibility.
Malik's post alleged the store owners were paying rival gangster Rohit Gadara and accused Pahal Nutrition of selling fake products. The post also contained threats directed at Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma. Police have identified two shooters, Kapil and Ashish Malik, both Sonipat residents, and believe the attack was ordered by Randeep Malik, who is thought to be operating abroad.
