On October 24, 2025, Gurgaon police arrested notorious gangster Sunil Sardhania at the Delhi International Airport. Sardhania, along with his associate Deepak Nandal, had previously claimed responsibility for two high-profile attacks in Gurgaon.
In July 2025, the duo had targeted singer and rapper Rahul Fazilpuria's vehicle in Sector 71 on the Southern Peripheral Road. Then, in August 2025, they were involved in the murder of Fazilpuria's close associate, Rohit Shokeen, near the Palm Hills society in Sector 77.
Sardhania had arrived at the Delhi Airport from Zurich, Switzerland, when he was detained and taken into custody by the Gurgaon Crime Branch. According to sources, the gangster had been under pressure to return to the country after being named in multiple social media posts claiming responsibility for the crimes.
The arrest is seen as a major blow to the Deepak Nandal-Sardhania criminal nexus. The two gangsters had reportedly parted ways two months ago, leading to an escalation in the ongoing feud. Police have now taken Sardhania into custody and plan to investigate the matter further.
