A Hall County man is facing serious felony charges after an alleged sexual assault occurred within a Gainesville home this past Sunday. Authorities responded to a 911 hang-up call shortly before noon at a residence on East Ridge Road. Upon arrival, deputies encountered Casino Samuel Gomez-Perez, 25, and the female victim. An infant was also present at the location.
Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff's Office determined that Gomez-Perez engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim against her will. He was apprehended at the scene and subsequently charged with rape, false imprisonment, battery under the Family Violence Act, and obstruction of a 911 call. Gomez-Perez is currently being held without bond in the Hall County Jail, with an immigration hold also placed on him by authorities.
