- Arrested near Gurgaon's Ghamroj Toll Plaza.

A 33-year-old individual, previously convicted for rape and offenses under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, was apprehended by the Delhi Police crime branch. This arrest occurred after the man had absconded, having jumped interim bail granted in 2022. The offenses date back to 2016 when he allegedly sexually assaulted the daughter of his domestic worker. A second case involved an alleged assault on a friend's wife in 2022. He had been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the rape conviction.
He was initially granted 28 days of interim bail in 2022 due to his wife's health concerns. However, he failed to return to custody upon the expiration of his bail period. Following specific intelligence that he would be near the Ghamroj Toll Plaza in Gurgaon, police set up a trap and successfully arrested him. At the time of his arrest, the accused had been employed at a call center.
