To evade detection, Modi initially avoided Ahmedabad and mobile phones, adopting over a dozen aliases like 'Spandan Modi' and 'Twinkle Dave'. His acting credits grew to include appearances in films such as 'Thugs of Hindostan' and 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar', alongside major stars. He also featured in web series and television programs.
Investigators received information that Modi had returned to Ahmedabad, leading to his arrest near the Gheekanta Metro Station. After his apprehension, Modi was returned to Mehsana District Jail to complete his life sentence, his two disparate lives finally converging.
