Fugitive Escapes Everett Courthouse Mid-Hearing

A fugitive identified as 39-year-old Kyle Hester escaped from the Everett courthouse on the afternoon of July 25, 2026. The escape happened around 2:30 p.m. when a judge issued an order for Hester to be taken into custody.
Hester was observed leaving the courthouse accompanied by a woman, whose relationship to him was initially unknown. The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office has since stated they believe they have identified this woman.
An active warrant for first-degree escape is currently out for Hester. The Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information regarding his current location to contact 911 immediately.
