A federal grand jury has indicted four men in connection with a major drug seizure in Dayton, Ohio. The investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), resulted in the confiscation of 119 kilograms of suspected cocaine and fentanyl. Further evidence uncovered included 170 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and 80 pounds of suspected marijuana.
The indicted individuals are Jason Heath, 40, of Dayton; Roderic Searcy, 60, of Los Angeles; Craig Worthen, 40, of Los Angeles; and Mark Lane, 33, of Cincinnati. They are federally charged with conspiring to possess and distribute significant quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine.
Federal agents executed a search warrant on February 2, 2026, at a Dayton distribution center, uncovering the illicit substances hidden within a freight package. According to court documents, Lane and Searcy were later apprehended on February 3, 2026, as they attempted to retrieve the shipment. Heath and Worthen were arrested shortly after.
If convicted on these charges, the four men could face a minimum of 10 years in prison, with the possibility of life imprisonment.
