One child endured being made to bathe in a dirty outdoor bath, while another was forced to stand among geese that would attack them. The pair's actions have been described by a sheriff as the "most unspeakable abuse."
Despite denying the allegations, the Daniels were found guilty of six charges of cruel and unnatural treatment. The victims bravely came forward years later to speak about their trauma. Douglas Daniel, 80, and Barbara Daniel, 75, who are now residents of Kent, await sentencing in March.
