Summary
- A baby girl was discovered dead in a bag outside a Fort Worth motel.
- The parents allegedly kept the infant in a bag for four days before disposal.
- They admitted to not seeking medical help to avoid legal trouble.

A newborn baby girl was discovered deceased inside a bag in a dumpster outside the Drummers Inn, a budget motel in Fort Worth. The grim find was made by a homeless woman, prompting a police response around 8:30 PM on October 24, 2026. Authorities determined the infant had been deceased for several days.
Investigators faced initial challenges due to a non-functioning security camera. However, a subsequent welfare check request led police to a motel room occupied by Jessica Cantrell and Camron Baker, along with three children. Cantrell allegedly confessed to giving birth in the motel room's bathtub and leaving the baby submerged for approximately 30 minutes.
The couple is accused of keeping the infant's body in a bag near the bathroom toilet for four days. Baker reportedly stated they avoided seeking medical help to prevent "catching a case." He is alleged to have placed the baby in a floral-patterned bag before discarding it in the dumpster.
Following their arrest, Cantrell was taken to Tarrant County Jail and was being held without bond. One motel guest expressed shock, stating the baby could have been given to someone for proper care instead of being left in a trash can.
