Food Star's Deadly Police Standoff Revealed

Food influencer Michael Duarte, 36, tragically died on November 8 following a confrontation with Texas police. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man with a knife acting erratically. According to the Medina County Sheriff's Office, Duarte allegedly charged at a deputy, threatening them.

The deputy fired twice, striking Duarte, who was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Subsequent autopsy results confirmed two gunshot wounds and toxicology reports found no alcohol or drugs in his system.

Duarte, who garnered over 2 million fans across social media platforms for his cooking content, is survived by his wife, Jessica, and their six-year-old daughter, Oakley. Jessica has expressed her ongoing grief and her commitment to continuing his legacy.
