Florida Woman Allegedly Wields Collard Greens, Skillet

A woman from Satsuma, Florida, identified as 58-year-old Wendy Leigh Messer, was taken into custody late Monday evening. She faces significant charges including battery, aggravated assault with a weapon, and possession of cocaine following an alleged altercation at her residence in Putnam County.
Deputies responded to the scene and received reports of a disturbance. One complainant stated that Messer threw a plate of collard greens and threatened them with a knife. Another individual reported feeling threatened when Messer approached them wielding a cast-iron skillet.
During Messer's arrest, deputies found evidence of illegal substances, including pipes with crack cocaine residue and a vial of cocaine. Messer claimed she had been set up and denied owning the jeans she wore at the time of the incident. She was booked into Putnam County Jail early Tuesday morning.
