Summary
- Teen lured into woods by boy feigning romantic interest.
- Victim found shot multiple times and set on fire.
- Two teens charged with premeditated murder in the case.

The mother of Danika Troy, a 14-year-old girl murdered in Florida's Panhandle, believes her daughter was lured to her death by a boy who feigned romantic feelings. Danika was reported missing on December 1 and her body was discovered the following day in a wooded area in Pace. Investigators confirmed she had been shot multiple times and set on fire.
Gabriel Williams, 16, and Kimahri Blevins, 14, have been charged with first-degree premeditated murder. The sheriff stated that Williams allegedly used his mother's handgun for the shooting. Detectives are exploring social media disputes as a potential motive, but the mother dismisses these claims as mere excuses. The sheriff noted that the alleged motive provided by the teens does not align with the available evidence or forensics, leaving the true motive unclear.
Both suspects are currently held without bond. Prosecutors are evaluating whether to try them as adults, with the sheriff emphasizing that adult crimes should face adult consequences. The victim's mother expressed her desire for the perpetrators to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
