Barrera Delgado initially attributed the injuries to a babysitter, but this account was later contradicted.
Further inquiry revealed that Barrera Delgado allegedly instructed the babysitter to maintain a false story, leading to a witness tampering charge. She has since reportedly admitted to the allegations and is currently held on bond, with additional holds pending court proceedings.
