- He was arrested and fired on March 10, 2026.

A former Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputy, Lamar Eliseo Roman, was arrested and terminated on March 10, 2026. Authorities stated Roman, 28, misused law enforcement computer systems for personal reasons, exceeding his job's legal scope.
Roman encountered a woman on February 3, 2026, while providing security for the TV show "Bad Monkey" in the Florida Keys. He reportedly flirted with her, despite her mentioning a boyfriend, and then sought her name and number "just in case I pull you over someday."
He subsequently accessed law enforcement databases, including the Florida Driver and Vehicle Information Database and the Florida Crime Information Center, to track her vehicle. Court filings indicate he repeatedly searched for her information.
On February 19, 2026, Roman allegedly followed the woman's car on U.S. 1, driving into oncoming traffic before initiating a traffic stop. During the stop, he reportedly told her, "I told you I'd find you and pull you over."
Roman is scheduled for an arraignment on March 26, 2026. Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay affirmed his commitment to informing the community about significant agency events.
